The social media giant will soon launch an online editing software called Youtube editing Software in India.
It will enable users to add videos and upload clips to their personal YouTube page without leaving the app.
The software will be made available to Indian users in the coming days, said an official statement on Monday.
The official announcement of the software was made during Facebook India Summit in Bengaluru on Monday, where the company is set to announce its plans for the Indian market.
The company has launched the software as a beta in the country last month.
“We are working on creating a native YouTube video editor for India.
We are working with the YouTube team to create the best editing experience for YouTube users in India,” said Amit Shah, vice president of product and marketing at Facebook India.
The release of the editing software in India will come at a time when the country is in the midst of a global debate on online censorship.
India has seen a surge in videos uploaded to YouTube, which is the most popular video sharing platform in the world.
The video sharing site is home to more than 10 million active users and the company has said it plans to launch new features to help curate content on the platform.
