Aussie Prime Minister Scott Morrison says the Australian economy is still “very strong” despite the downturn, despite being one of the most depressed economies in the world.
Mr Morrison was speaking at the Australian National University’s conference, ‘Big Picture: Australia and the World’, in Melbourne.
“The world has changed dramatically in the last decade,” Mr Morrison said.
“In the last four years, Australia’s GDP has grown by almost 2 per cent.”
I think the fact that we are still very strong, that we still have a very healthy and resilient economy, and we’ve got people who are looking forward to having more jobs and opportunities in the future, that means we’re still very, very strong.
I’ve been told that her degree is going to be in the pipeline,” Mr Abbott said.
